Beofre starting to film our music video was decided to go out and talk and interview people from are target audience, this allows us to pitch our idea to them and see what they think about it, this also will let us see what types of music people from our target market like and what they exspect to see in a music video of the many music genres out there. we also thought this would be a good idea to share ideas with people from the target market as they might aswell come up with ideas we could include in our work. Also this allows us to know what our target audience find interseting and will helps us to know along the lines if the music video is going to be liked and if it will cater to all ages of our market.

 

we dicieded to create a questionnaire to ask people from our target audience was asked simple questions therefore we could gain some knowlagde of what music they liked and what they felt fit into the different music genres. Then we went on to pitch our idea to them this allowed them to hear what we was planning todo and give feedback on what they think and what they feel we could add to the video.

From filming the questionnaire we found out that

different music genres have typical conventions that people exspect to see in the music video. Therefore for our genre we would need to stick to the conventions of a deep house/dance music video. they felt that from a music video it is easy to identify what genre the video or artist fits into.

when pitching our idea to them they seem very keen on our ideas they likes the ideas of the different loacations around london as they feel that it is somehting that relates to the age group of our genre. They also likes the idea of having bright vibrent and contasting colours as they thought that this would make the video intresting and appealing to the eye. along with this they felt that our videowould cater and fit for the ages of 15-25. When asking what we could do to improve the music video some poepl said to add more of the artist as this would attarct the male audience to the video.

 

after collecting this information we went back and created a new story board taking into account what they had said in answer to the questionnaire. we kept the idea of all the different loactions, we dicided to add in a dance routine as from this interview we found that this is what people exspect to be in a deephouse/dance music video, we have also decided to add more close up shots of Tomi this will have a more intimate feel to the music video and will attract the male audince to our video.
